Overview

The Natural Science associate degree lets students select courses from biology, chemistry, computer programming, geology and physics, giving a flexible science foundation. Course choices include organismal biology, cell biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, general geology and general physics. The associate degree combines the major courses with general education and electives to reach the 60-unit total the college requires. It can serve as a stopping point for entering work or as a base for continued study, and the college publishes a separate general requirements page for the full pattern. Major courses call for at least a C. Students should confirm the full course list in the college catalog and speak with a counselor about sequencing. Advisors at the college are available to answer questions about planning and next steps.
