The College of Pharmacy admits graduate students to master's and doctoral study in the pharmaceutical sciences. Research is organized into five divisions covering drug chemistry, health outcomes, drug formulation and delivery, pharmacology with toxicology, and pharmacotherapy with translational science.
The college admits for the fall semester only, with no spring or summer entry. Most applicants to the Ph.D. and to the non-residency master's follow a December deadline, while the master's track in pharmacotherapy and translational sciences that includes a concurrent residency has a later one in January. Students apply electronically, and the college publishes a graduate admissions guide with the full list of materials and steps. The doctorate in translational science is handled through a partner health science center instead. The college also runs outreach pathway programs, including a summer undergraduate research experience, to widen access for aspiring pharmacy students from all backgrounds.
