MA/MS in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Administration

The pharmaceutical sciences graduate major at Oregon State University prepares students for work at drug and biotech companies, in regulatory roles and in research. The MS and PhD are offered in Corvallis, and a non-thesis MS is also available online through Ecampus. Faculty research includes discovering and characterizing therapeutic compounds from biological sources, designing nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery, finding new drug targets, and examining how the human microbiome relates to health. Master's students choose between a non-thesis route, built on a project and elective coursework, and a thesis route with six thesis credits. Both total forty-five credits and include responsible conduct of research training and a seminar. Biochemistry preparation is strongly recommended for entering students, and electives are chosen with a major advisor.
