BA/BS in Music

The music BA offers a supportive, respectful atmosphere with high academic and ethical standards, and faculty devoted to student success. A liberal arts emphasis makes the curriculum flexible, so students can explore interests through electives in music and in subjects such as history, business and communications. This track is not centered on performance, yet students have many chances to perform in ensembles, a large marching band, recitals, operas, student organizations or the resident symphony orchestra. Students finish with a capstone in which they perform or present their learning. The program is part of the School of Performing Arts. The program is offered through the Arts and Humanities college.
