MA/MS in Special Education and Teaching

Students here prepare for advanced work in special education, finishing with a master's degree. A doctoral option in the same field shares the page. The Graduate College confers the credential, and the master's route allows a thesis or no thesis. The program uses rolling admission with fall, spring and summer starts. International applicants face earlier cutoffs in each term than domestic ones. The application has two steps. Applicants first send the online form and fee, then use their personal profile to upload a statement of purpose and request recommendations. Both Graduate College and department requirements must be satisfied, and the program does not ask for a general graduate exam. The catalog entry gives further departmental requirements. Applicants are encouraged to check dates early because international cutoffs fall sooner.
