AA/AS in Computer Programming

Students in this associate degree build practical ability in writing and analyzing software. The core classes teach computer technology basics, programming, how to analyze and design programs, and how to develop web applications. It fits learners who want a job quickly after graduating, yet it also keeps the door open to a bachelor's degree afterward. The catalog advises following its sequence of foundation, intermediate and advanced classes when planning, even if the timetable does not always allow an exact order. Some students may receive college credit for earlier work, such as completing particular Orange or Osceola Technical College programs, earning approved industry certifications, or finishing career pathway courses. Technical certificates at the college level are tied to this degree, and early planning helps students stay on schedule.
