AA/AS in Computer and Information Sciences, General

Computer Science at Valencia is a pre-major inside the Associate in Arts degree. It suits students who intend to relocate to Orlando's UCF after two years and complete a four-year degree in engineering and computing there. The plan rests on a formal articulation agreement covering computer science between the two institutions. Anyone planning to transfer must meet the admission rules of the receiving university on their own, since finishing the pathway alone does not satisfy them. The program page also names the Valencia employees associated with it. Most teach or support computer programming and analysis classes, and the page points students toward a Student Success Coach for guidance on choosing courses and preparing for transfer. Students interested in computing careers can use it to begin their studies close to home.
