This Biology 2.0 AS-T degree at Ventura College is built for students who intend to continue toward a bachelor's degree in Biology at a California State University campus. It follows the state's transfer degree model, so the coursework combines the Cal-GETC general education pattern with a defined set of major courses. Completing the degree gives students a secured spot somewhere in the CSU system, though not to a specific campus or major. Each campus decides which of its majors count as similar, so students are advised to check the CSU transfer search tool and speak with a counselor before choosing a destination. Students who transfer to a campus accepting this degree should need no more than 60 additional units to finish the bachelor's degree, unless the major is designated high-unit. Major courses must be passed with a C or higher, or a passing mark.
