This institutional certificate is available to students completing an undergraduate major in business or economics who want formal recognition of global business knowledge. Eligibility is limited to those whose undergraduate major is in one of those two fields. It is earned alongside the main degree rather than as a stand-alone credential.
Participants plan a course of study with the international program advisor, completing at least twelve credit hours chosen from a list covering accounting, business and society, international trade, international finance, economic development and global issues in information technology. Students need a grade average of at least 2.5 across those courses.
Stated learning outcomes focus on how cultural differences and political and economic forces influence institutions and business decisions, and on judging what a worldwide economy gains and loses.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Open to students graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business or Economics; program of study approved by the International Program Advisor, minimum 2.5 GPA in the listed courses.
