BA/BS in Economics

This bachelor of arts is the most flexible route into economics at the university. It pairs the central theories of economics with data analysis training, and it leaves space to bring in another major or minor from nearly any subject, so students can create a distinctive skill set. Graduates take jobs in banking, finance, insurance, government and research, or go into law. An accelerated pathway also allows students to start on an applied economics master's degree before finishing their bachelor's. The major comprises thirty-five hours of economics, including required micro and macro principles courses, within a degree of at least 120 hours. A second major or an additional minor is also needed. There are no formal concentrations, because the flexibility comes from that pairing.
