MA/MS in Student Counseling and Personnel Services

William & Mary delivers this M.Ed. in counseling over the internet, with school counseling as the focus area. It is aimed at people who want to support children and teenagers facing emotional and academic struggles in K-12 settings. The curriculum is designed to ready graduates for state licensure and for school counselor posts. Licensing typically involves a practicum and internship in a school, plus a state or national exam. The program holds CACREP accreditation, which signals that it meets recognized standards, and the degree can also support later certification through the American School Counselor Association.
