BA/BS in Business Administration, Management and Operations

Students in this major take a wide range of business courses rather than concentrating on a single field. The curriculum covers management, accounting, finance, and marketing, giving a general view of how organizations operate. Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking are treated as necessary for anyone succeeding in business. The page reports that demand for graduates depends on organizations' need to improve efficiency and control costs, and it cites projected growth in these positions that varies by industry. Because the degree is broad, graduates can move into many kinds of organizations and roles, and they are not tied to a single specialty when they begin searching for work. Students can build leadership experience through organizations connected to the Williamson College of Business Administration, and business majors are encouraged to complete internships.
