Successively became Nanning Normal College 1960, incorporated Guangxi University for Nationalities, Guangxi Teachers Training College 1961, Guangxi Education College 1966. Upgraded to university-level college 1978.
Successively changed to Nanning Normal College 1979, Guangxi Teachers Education University 1985. Incorporated Nanning Normal School for Nationalities (founded 1905) 2002.
