Merged and became Northwest School of Posts and Telecommunications 1952. Successively became Xi'an School of Posts and Telecommunications 1953, Xi'an Posts Administration School 1955, Xi'an School of Posts and Telecommunications 1958.
Acquired present status and renamed Xi'an College of Posts and Telecommunications (also translated as Xi'an Institute of Posts and Telecommunications) 1959. Acquired present title 2012.
