Overview
European University Cyprus is a private university with its main campus in Nicosia, Cyprus, and a second campus in Frankfurt, Germany, where the Doctor of Medicine programme is also taught.
Its catalogue lists more than 90 programmes across bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels, some delivered through distance learning and some taught in Greek rather than English. Teaching is organised into seven schools: Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Life and Health Sciences, Humanities, Social and Education Sciences, Business Administration and Digital Technologies, and Law.
Health-related fields form its best-known area, and a separate online foundation programme helps applicants prepare for medicine, dentistry or veterinary study. Undergraduate entry requires completed secondary education, postgraduate study requires a bachelor's degree, and every applicant must show English proficiency unless exempt.
Students from outside the European Union need a Cyprus student visa.
Applications are made through an online form, and the admissions office in Engomi, Nicosia, supports applicants. The university reports a place in the 801+ band of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and describes itself as part of a large international network of higher-education institutions.
Scholarships and financial aid are available on the basis of merit, athletics and need.
