The MSc in Management (General) is a two-year, fully online master's degree from the University of the West Indies Open Campus, built for people who want to move into senior leadership roles across the public, private and non-profit sectors in the Caribbean. It sits alongside sister tracks in public sector management, marketing, management information systems and human resource management, but this general track keeps the focus broad.
The degree totals 41 credits. Five core courses cover management essentials, sustainable financial management, management information systems and communication skills for managers, followed by further courses on marketing, human resources, leadership and policy, giving graduates a rounded grounding in contemporary management practice.
New intakes start in September and January. The programme targets senior administrators, supervisors and middle managers who need practical, strategically-minded management skills they can apply immediately in their own organisations.
