Kaléo Certificate

The Kaléo Certificate is an eight-month leadership-development program offered jointly by Camp Qwanoes and Briercrest College for young Christian leaders. Participants earn 30 credit hours — one year of college credit — while taking part in frontline ministry and outdoor-adventure experiences such as sailing, backpacking, skiing and kayaking. Courses are modular, taught in intensive weekly blocks every three weeks, and combine accredited academics with leadership training, community building and ministry practicums. Students reside at Camp Qwanoes for the duration of the program. It is intended for single students aged 18 to 23 who want to grow in leadership and ministry experience before continuing into further studies. The program does not currently hold an International Student Program Designation in British Columbia, so it cannot accept international students who require a study permit.
