Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic applicants need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with courses at the College, University, University/College or Open level, including Grade 12 English (C/U), or an equivalent route such as the Mature Student Assessment, the Canadian Adult Education Credential/GED completed before May 2024, or Academic and Career Entrance credits; Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry and Biology at the College or University Preparation level are recommended. International applicants need an equivalent high school diploma and Academic IELTS 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5. Applicants who fall short of the entrance requirements can enter through the Pre-Technology-Trades program to earn credits toward the diploma.

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry the application opened 26 September 2026 and the province-wide equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027; Confederation also publishes its own equal-consideration dates of 1 March for Winter-entry programmes and 1 April for Spring-entry programmes. After these dates, files are assessed on a rolling, first-come basis while seats remain, and the college flags Aviation, Health, Engineering Technology and Community Services programmes as filling quickly. International applicants apply via international.ocas.ca; intakes close roughly six weeks before each semester starts and a programme can close earlier once seats fill, so no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
