Marketing is a major within Dalhousie University's Bachelor of Commerce program, offered as a mandatory co-operative education degree. The program covers the activities, institutions, and processes involved in creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings of value to customers, clients, partners, and society, spanning areas such as consumer behaviour, market research, branding, and marketing strategy. Students complete three paid co-op work terms integrated throughout the four-year degree, alternating academic study with professional work placements in marketing roles. The program is based on the Halifax campus and is accredited by both AACSB International and CEWIL Canada for its co-operative education model. The program admits students each September. Graduates are prepared for careers in brand management, market research, digital marketing, and marketing strategy roles across industries.
