Global Discipleship Certificate

An 8-month program combining three terms of study at Horizon with a six-week discipleship-training and cross-cultural mission experience through ACTION, held in Panama. Students study the Bible, Christian discipleship, and essential life skills at Horizon from September through February, then serve for one month alongside missionaries and local churches in Panama. The program is designed to help students discern their life direction and grow in Christian faith through a combination of classroom study and hands-on cross-cultural ministry experience. It is not available to international students; applicants must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. The certificate suits students seeking a short-term, faith-formation-focused credential that combines academic study with an international ministry placement, and it can serve as an entry point into further study at Horizon College.
