Overview
The BC Adult Graduation Diploma (Adult Dogwood) program, an adult Grade 12 equivalency, enables adult learners to complete their BC Ministry of Education secondary school graduation requirements in order to enter the workforce or post-secondary studies. Courses required for completion are offered in a term-based format. Students completing the Adult Graduation Diploma can satisfy graduation requirements by using: courses taken in high-school, transferable courses taken at other post-secondary institutions, and undergraduate-level courses.

Admission Requirements: This BC Adult Graduation Diploma (Adult Dogwood) sits at KPU's Preparatory academic level and is not subject to the university's undergraduate English Proficiency Requirement. The programme's own calendar entry states that applicants who do not already hold the appropriate high-school prerequisite, or who are referred to assessment by an instructor, must take placement assessments in English and Mathematics, booked online through KPU's assessment and testing services, to determine appropriate placement in the programme. Mature applicants (19 or older) may enter through this route, and completing the diploma itself requires five BC post-secondary qualifying courses recognised under the Ministry of Education's Adult Graduation Program, with at least three of the five completed after enrolling; courses and credits may be drawn from KPU or from the BC secondary-school system.

Application Deadline:KPU classifies most programs as Open Intake, meaning every applicant who meets minimum institutional requirements is admitted without ranking, while a smaller set of Limited Intake programs closes earlier. For the Fall 2027 (September) term, both domestic and international applications open on 1 October 2026; Limited Intake programs have a firm deadline of 1 March 2027 and may close earlier if demand is high, while Open Intake programs stay open on a rolling basis through a confirmation-deposit deadline of 15 June 2027 to a final cutoff of 1 July 2027. Spring (January) and Summer (May) entry follow the same open/limited pattern on an earlier timeline, and KPU applies identical deadlines to domestic and international applicants throughout. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
