Nursing: Bachelor of Science Degree - Advanced Entry (BSN)

Admission Requirements: This route is open only to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are currently registered, full-scope Licensed Practical Nurses in British Columbia. Required prerequisite courses (minimum 'C+' unless noted) are one of ENGL 1100, 1123, 1127 or 1128 plus a further transferable English course, BIOL 1190 and 1191 completed at one institution within five years, and PSYC 2321 (C+), STAT 1123 (A) or STAT 1124 (C+), for a minimum overall GPA of 2.33 (Langara's 4.33 scale); a higher GPA or a bachelor's degree from a recognised Canadian institution may be preferred. No separate English test score is published; the page instead notes a high level of functional English and basic mathematics (decimals, fractions, metric conversions) are essential. Offer-holders need a satisfactory Criminal Records Review, a current Immunization and Communicable Disease Form, Standard First Aid, CPR-BLS certification, and N95 respirator fit testing.
