Overview
This Master of Science in Kinesiology is a thesis-based, research-intensive graduate program centred on human movement, health promotion, and applied neuroscience, with specialization areas including outdoor physical activity education, Indigenous health promotion, sport management, biomechanics, ergonomics, exercise physiology, and sport psychology. Students conduct original research under faculty supervision, working through lab-based study, applied and experiential learning, and seminars that build skills in data analysis, research methods, and academic writing. Admission Requirements: The Master of Science in Kinesiology programme page does not itself state admission criteria and points applicants to Nipissing's graduate admissions pages, which set the general requirement for the degree: a four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent with a minimum B standing. Applications require official transcripts, two academic references, a resume and a statement of interest, and prospective students are advised to contact a potential supervisor before applying. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the graduate-program English requirement: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.5, TOEFL iBT 93 overall (minimum 20 in reading and listening, 22 in writing and speaking), PTE Academic 63 overall (minimum 60 per section), CAEL 70 overall with no band below 60, or Cambridge C1 176 overall (minimum 169). The program admits in the Fall term only.

International applicants follow the same April 1, 2027 deadline for fall and November 13, 2026 for winter; Nipissing does not publish a spring/summer international deadline.
