Overview
The Northern Baccalaureate Nursing Program is a collaboration between the University of Northern British Columbia, Northern Health, and Northern Lights College created to train registered nurses in northern BC for employment in the North. Students complete their first two years of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing full-time and in person at NLC's Fort St. John campus, then transfer to UNBC's Fort St. John site for the final two years, delivered across five consecutive semesters. Eligibility is restricted to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

Admission Requirements: Northern Lights College does not publish separate entrance requirements for this program on its own page: entry begins with completing NLC's Associate of Arts Degree (Health Studies), for which the initial prerequisites are English 12, Math 11, Biology 12, and Chemistry 11 or equivalencies, with upgrading courses available for applicants who fall short. Admission to the Northern Baccalaureate Nursing Program itself is restricted to Canadian citizens and permanent residents; international students may complete the Associate degree at NLC but cannot apply to the nursing program without meeting this citizenship or residency status.
