Overview
The Solar Photovoltaic Systems Introduction & Installation Micro credential program offers a series of three courses: -RENW 100 Introduction to Clean Energy Technology; -SOLA 100 Introduction to Solar Photovoltaic Systems; -SOLA 110 Solar Photovoltaic System Installation. Take one or all three; for Electricians, building trades persons, Architects, Designers & Homeowners wanting an introduction to green energy; understand Solar Photovoltaic systems, and in course 3, gain skills & experience installing the system. Completion of this micro credential program is a prerequisite for taking the micro credential program: Solar Photovoltaic Systems for Professionals.

Admission Requirements: Okanagan College publishes no admission requirements for the Solar Photovoltaic Systems Introduction & Installation Micro-credential: there is no secondary-school credential, minimum grade point average, English-language test score such as IELTS or TOEFL, or prior trades experience listed as a condition of enrolment. The only structural requirement on the program page is sequencing rather than admission: its three courses, RENW 100, SOLA 100 and SOLA 110, must be taken in that order. No portfolio, interview, criminal-record check or other supporting document is required. The program runs as a single intake from October 5 to October 31, 2026.
