Sheridan College offers Artificial Intelligence, Honours Bachelor of Computer Science, a bachelor's degree in AI & Machine Learning programme in Oakville, Canada. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 23,010 per year (CAD 8,488 per year for local students).
This degree lets students specialize in one of several growing computer science fields, including artificial intelligence, after an introductory first year that covers programming, networks, mathematics, scripting and database modelling alongside brief exposure to each specialization. Students in the artificial intelligence specialization then take eight courses in that area, building on a curriculum where core courses make up more than 80 percent of content. Between the third and fourth year, students can pursue a four-month internship, or alternatively a paid co-op placement of up to sixteen months with industry partners, or support one of the college's applied research projects. In the fourth year, students choose between a capstone project, which develops a solution to a problem and may involve an external client, and a thesis research project aimed at those planning graduate study. The degree shares core courses with the Mobile Computing specialization, allowing a change of specialization after two years by completing two additional courses, and is accepted for graduate admission at a range of institutions in Canada and abroad.
Requirements
Minimum GPA:65.00 / %
Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with English, Grade 12 (ENG4U); Mathematics, Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) or Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U); and four further Grade 12 U/M-level subjects, for an overall average of at least 65%. Two completed postsecondary semesters covering the required courses at a 65% average also qualify. A Grade 12 science or Computer Science course is recommended but not required, and this applies equally to the Artificial Intelligence specialization within the degree, which carries no additional prerequisites beyond the shared program requirements. Selection uses the average of an applicant's six highest senior-level credits. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan's institution-wide English Proficiency Requirement for degree programs: IELTS Academic overall 6.5 (no band below 6.0), TOEFL iBT overall 88 (no section below 21), PTE Academic overall 60 (no section below 57), or Duolingo English Test overall 115 (no sub-score below 95). No portfolio or interview is required.
Application Details
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for programmes starting in Fall 2027 the application opened 26 September 2026, the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and offers can go out from 1 November 2026, with portfolio- and audition-based programmes deciding later in March; accepted offers must be confirmed by 1 May 2027. Winter and Spring/Summer 2027 entry use the same portal but Sheridan publishes no fixed equal-consideration date for them and reviews those on an ongoing basis. International applicants apply directly through Sheridan's own International Application Portal, not ontariocolleges.ca; the college publishes no fixed international deadline and admits on a rolling, space-permitting basis, so early application is advised for the 2027 entry cycle. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
