Overview
Graduates of this program have the skills to be executive-level administrative assistants to top-level managers in business or government. Skills include a high level of expertise in keyboarding and computer applications with some accounting. Students will learn how to do effective presentations and be well-rounded in all office duties. With experience, graduates also are capable of assuming the role of office manager providing leadership to other staff. This program targets students who want to develop strong computer and keyboarding abilities. They should enjoy working in a team environment and have excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Good communication skills, both written and oral are also important.

Admission Requirements: Admission is by internal progression: applicants complete Year 1 of Office Administration - General (B227) and must achieve a GPA of 2.0 or better to progress automatically into this Year 2 programme; there is no separate direct-entry requirement. Mature students follow the same GPA-based route per the College's Admission Procedures. The programme states no language score of its own, so the institution-wide diploma-level English requirement applies to entry into the General year: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, CELPIP General 7.0 in each module, or Duolingo 110, dated within two years. Domestic applicants apply through Ontario Colleges and international applicants through International OCAS for the General-year entry point. The programme runs a September intake.
