Overview

This program prepares graduates for roles across human resources and general management, combining applied coursework with evidence-based practicum experience. Students work on projects developed with local employers and complete a 260-hour work placement in the final semester of third year. The curriculum addresses how organizations keep policies, programs and procedures aligned with overall business strategy, and prepares students for the Certified Human Resources Professional and Certified Human Resources Leader designations. Possible career areas include payroll, health and safety, labour relations, conflict management, compensation and benefits, and organizational training and recruiting, with transfer agreements available for students pursuing further degree studies.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with the majority of credits at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level. Mature applicants without an OSSD may qualify through St. Clair College's mature-student route on the general admission-procedures page. The programme admits twice yearly, in September and January, with domestic applicants applying through Ontario Colleges and international applicants through International OCAS. The programme page publishes no English-proficiency scores of its own; St. Clair's institution-wide standard for diploma and certificate programmes applies to international applicants: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60 overall, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, or Duolingo English Test 110. No portfolio, interview or work-experience requirement is stated.

International applicants apply through the International OCAS portal and are admitted on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis; St. Clair publishes no fixed international closing date.
