BA/BS in Education at The King's University in Edmonton, Canada is a bachelor's degree in Education & Teaching programme. The programme runs for 2 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 774 per credit (CAD 516 per credit for local students).
The Education program at The King's University offers two routes to a Bachelor of Education: a two-year after-degree option for students who already hold a bachelor's degree, with Elementary or Secondary streams, and a five-year integrated pathway for students who begin their undergraduate studies with an education minor. Coursework blends theory, reflective practice, and lectures with applied experience, including one-on-one work with struggling students, literacy and numeracy events, and classroom observation. Students complete a total of 18 weeks of classroom teaching across two practicums, a shorter placement in the first year followed by an extended teaching practicum in the second year. Graduates are prepared for teacher certification in Alberta, elsewhere in Canada, and abroad, and can pursue roles such as elementary or secondary teacher, guidance counsellor, curriculum designer, or educational leadership positions in public, Catholic, private, or alternative school settings. The program suits students committed to a teaching career who want a structured, practicum-heavy path to certification.
