Program details

Overview

This diploma is designed for people who hold a degree outside business and want to gain a focused specialization within a particular functional area of business through one to two years of additional study. Students who already hold a first degree in business, but who wish to change their area of focus, may also complete this diploma.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Thompson Rivers University's Business Administration Post-Baccalaureate Diploma requires a completed bachelor's degree. The program page expects, without strictly requiring, prior completion of Foundations of Math 12 or Pre-calculus 12 (or equivalent); students without this background can still be admitted if they complete equivalent coursework approved by an advisor. English proficiency is met by at least six credits of university-level English completed at an English-language university in an English-speaking country; applicants without that must submit a TOEFL, IELTS, or other acceptable English placement-test result current within two years, or sit TRU's own English Placement Test on arrival, though no specific minimum scores are published on this page. No GPA figure, portfolio, interview, work-experience, or age condition is stated on the program page.

Application Details

Start Date: Intakes: September (Fall) and January (Winter), as listed on TRU's program page.
Application Deadline: No separate date is published for this program, so TRU's general undergraduate deadlines apply. Domestic applicants (Canadian citizens and permanent residents): 1 May for the September (Fall) intake; 1 September for the January (Winter) intake. International applicants work to a separate published set, which differs for the winter and summer intakes: 1 May for September; 1 October for January. Applications for most programs open 1 October. A deadline falling on a weekend or statutory holiday moves to the next working day, and TRU keeps accepting applications after the date where space remains, though high-volume programs can close early.
