Trinity Western University's Master of Science in Nursing is a graduate program for practising nurses who want to move into advanced leadership roles while continuing to work. It asks students to think critically about the values that have shaped nursing knowledge, with course work centred on evaluating evidence for best practice and building advanced leadership skills and scholarly capability. The program is offered either as a blended mix of online and in-class study at the Langley and Ottawa locations, or fully online, and takes two and a half to three years to complete part-time; no relocation is required. A specialized Indigenous Graduate Education Nursing stream is available for Indigenous nurses practising in British Columbia. Students join a community of nurse scholars, complete a health-policy residency in Ottawa, and work with faculty to select courses aligned with their career goals. The program suits practising nurses aiming for leadership, policy, or advanced-practice roles who need a schedule built around existing work and family commitments rather than full-time, on-campus study.
