Overview
This program leads to a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering under the co-operative education (co-op) regime, delivered in person at the Moncton campus over five years. The curriculum totals 264 credits split across fundamental engineering training, the electrical engineering major, and related disciplines, combining classroom instruction with laboratory work in electrical and electronic systems. Four mandatory paid work terms of 12 to 16 weeks are integrated throughout the degree, placing students in real workplace settings to apply their coursework and build employment prospects before graduation, with students normally finishing by the summer of their fourth year. As with the Faculty of Engineering's other bachelor's programs, it is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (BCAPG), required for graduates seeking to become licensed professional engineers in Canada.
