Master of Arts (Literary Studies)

The Master of Arts in Literary Studies (etudes litteraires) at Universite de Moncton allows students to deepen their knowledge and pursue research in literary studies. The program is completed over a minimum of two years of full-time study and centers on advanced coursework combined with a research component in literature, culminating in a thesis or research project. Students normally build on undergraduate training in literary studies; applicants whose prior preparation is judged insufficient may be required to complete additional preparatory coursework before beginning graduate-level study. The program is delivered on the Moncton campus under the supervision of faculty in the literary studies program, and prepares graduates for further doctoral study in literature or for careers requiring advanced literary analysis, criticism, and research skills.
