Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies is a 24-credit postgraduate credential at Universite de Moncton's Moncton campus, completed in one year of full-time study or two years part-time. The program trains professionals to critically address the relationship between humans and the environment, analyzing environmental problems through interdisciplinary and systemic approaches while managing the transitions required for ecological change. The curriculum comprises four mandatory courses (12 credits), two elective courses chosen from a set of options (6 credits), and 6 credits of free electives at the 6000 level, selected with departmental approval. The diploma builds on the university's shorter Graduate Certificate in Environmental Studies, offering a more extensive credential for students seeking deeper training in environmental analysis and management. It suits professionals and recent graduates aiming for roles in environmental policy, planning, and sustainability management.
