Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Environmental Assessment is a 30-credit program completed over two terms, examining current environmental problems through training in data analysis, geographic information systems (GIS) and policy development. Coursework addresses political ecology, science and technology, and critical geographies, with particular attention to Canadian and Indigenous affairs. Delivered on Concordia's Sir George Williams campus, the program admits students in the Fall term only. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline in Arts or Science. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate sufficient English proficiency for graduate study. On completion, students receive a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Assessment, equipping them with applied skills in environmental data analysis and policy work.
