Overview

This interdisciplinary PhD trains high-calibre researchers who specialise in one discipline of environmental science while working across disciplinary boundaries to formulate and address complex environmental research problems. Delivered on the Trois-Rivières campus, it can be completed full-time in 4 years (12 terms) or part-time in 6 years (18 terms), with admission offered in the fall, winter, and summer terms. Across 90 credits, candidates design and carry out an original research project addressing the interdependence of environmental systems, building the analytical depth needed to work at the intersection of environmental science disciplines. Before enrolling, applicants must prepare a preliminary thesis project and obtain a thesis director's acceptance in principle.
