Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Global Studies is an interdisciplinary program offered at the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus in Camrose. It draws on political studies, history, philosophy, and religious studies to examine contemporary and historical issues in their political, ethical, and global contexts, asking why events have unfolded as they have and what possibilities exist for change. Rather than avoiding complex problems, the program approaches them from multiple disciplinary perspectives, aiming to prepare graduates for varied work environments and a continuing engagement with the world around them beyond university studies. It is delivered on the Augustana campus, a small arts-and-sciences campus located about an hour southeast of Edmonton, with an average class size of about 22 students among more than 900 students from across Canada and around the world.
