Overview
This Bachelor of Science in Forest Business Management, jointly offered by the University of Alberta's Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences and Alberta School of Business, prepares students for careers as professional foresters with added business management training. Core subjects include forest measurement, forest harvesting and transport, forestry economics and integrated forest management, and students gain ecology knowledge through field work across west-central and northern Alberta's forested regions. Delivery combines on-campus instruction with field schools, and students may opt into a twelve-month paid placement through the Alberta School of Business Co-op Program. Graduates can pursue accreditation as a Registered Professional Forester.
