Overview
This Bachelor of Science major studies molecular structures and the processes of cellular life, and their roles in the function, reproduction, and development of living organisms. In the first two years students concentrate on genetics, microbiology, and plant molecular genetics before moving into more individualized areas of focus in later years. The degree is highly customizable: students may add an optional minor or double major chosen from more than 60 subjects across the university's faculties, allowing them to keep the program broad or specialize in a single discipline. It is also offered as a BSc Honors degree. The program is offered through the Faculty of Science.
