BA/BS in Dance

The Dance program at the University of Calgary offers both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with combined-degree options pairing dance with a Bachelor of Kinesiology or a Bachelor of Education over five years. Coursework covers dance history, pedagogy, choreography, dance science, critical theory, dance for the camera, improvisation, and production, alongside technique classes such as contemporary, jazz, ballet, and hip hop. A performance practicum is part of the curriculum, and students have opportunities to study abroad, take workshops from visiting artists, and perform in Dance Mainstage productions.
