Overview

The Master of Planning (MPlan) at the University of Calgary is a two-year, Canadian Institute of Planners-accredited, course-based degree covering the legal and institutional processes of urban and regional planning, with an emphasis on form-based planning where design and graphic skills are integral. The curriculum comprises fifteen core courses, including five studio courses and three electives, delivered on campus in a studio format. Applicants need a four-year baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) and a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale over the last two years of study; no standardized test scores are required.
