The Master of Science in Planning (MScPl) is a professional graduate program offered by the Department of Geography and Planning at the University of Toronto, preparing students for careers in planning practice. Delivered in person over six full-time sessions (Fall-Winter-Spring, repeated; a part-time option runs up to twelve sessions), students may complete the degree with or without a concentration in Economic Development Planning, Environmental Planning, Social Planning and Policy, Transportation Planning and Infrastructure, or Urban Design and Spatial Planning. Admission requires an appropriate bachelor's degree from a recognized university, with a minimum final-year standing in the social or life sciences, the humanities or the professions equivalent to at least a University of Toronto B+ average. No standardized admission test, such as the GRE, is required or recommended. The credential awarded is a Master of Science in Planning (MScPl).
