BA/BS in Actuarial Science is a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science programme taught at University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown, Canada. The programme runs for 4 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 17,848 per year (CAD 8,130 per year for local students).
Actuarial Science applies techniques from mathematics, statistics, business, economics, and finance to the assessment and management of risk in insurance, pensions, and investment. Core coursework covers calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and computing, building toward more specialized study in probability, financial mathematics, actuarial mathematics, loss models, and corporate finance. The program is delivered through the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences on UPEI's Charlottetown campus, and a co-operative education option lets students alternate academic terms with paid work placements. It leads to a Bachelor of Science and is aimed at students working toward professional actuarial designation, with coursework structured to align with the topics covered by professional actuarial examinations. It suits students who are comfortable with a heavily quantitative curriculum and are specifically aiming at a career as an actuary, rather than a general mathematics, statistics, or business degree.

Application Details
Application Deadline:UPEI has no shared provincial application service; domestic and international applicants both apply directly through the UPEI Application Portal, and most undergraduate programs (Arts, Science, Business) carry no fixed institution-wide closing date, with applications for the 2027 entry cycle assessed on a rolling basis until seats fill. Several professional programs set their own hard dates instead: for example the Bachelor of Education uses an October 15, 2026 priority-review deadline with rolling admission after. UPEI states that deadlines for non-competitive undergraduate programs are set yearly for international applicants rather than published as a fixed date, and directs applicants to email inte@upei.ca; overall, admission across most programs is rolling. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
