Overview

The Master of Business Administration at the University of Saskatchewan's Edwards School of Business is a professional, course-based graduate degree aimed at building strategic thinking and management skills in students from any academic background. Courses are delivered in a modular format, scheduled in three-week blocks, and the program can be completed in twelve months of full-time study or over as long as forty-eight months part time. Classes are delivered in person on the Saskatoon campus. The curriculum combines applied projects with coursework on managing oneself and others, communication, and leadership, and the program offers an optional paid internship component consisting of two four-month work terms. Students already enrolled in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Law or Pharmacy at the university can complete the MBA concurrently with their primary degree. The program draws a diverse student body intended to bring a range of professional perspectives into classroom discussion of business scenarios. It suits early- and mid-career professionals from varied academic and industry backgrounds who are looking to move into or advance within management roles, rather than students seeking a research-oriented or thesis-based graduate credential.
