BA/BS in Information Technology (BBA)

Management (Information Technology) is a Bachelor of Business Administration Specialist program at the University of Toronto Scarborough that combines computer science and management foundations. The four-year curriculum covers economics, calculus for management, and object-oriented programming alongside core business courses such as human resource management, principles of marketing, and management communications, developing skills in project management and applying information technology to organizational problems. Students complete required first-year courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and introductory computer science before advancing into specialized coursework, with more than half of degree credits in management and information technology. An optional co-op stream adds two preparatory courses and two or three full semesters (8 to 12 months) of paid, relevant work experience without extending the program's overall length, and all students complete a work-integrated-learning component built into core courses. Admission is through the OUAC Management admission category (code TSM) with a supplementary application. Graduates pursue careers such as business/systems analyst, IT planning analyst, and quality assurance analyst, and about 94% of Business and Commerce graduates are employed within two years of graduation.
