The PhD in Dentistry (Research) is offered by the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto for dentists and non-dentists pursuing graduate research training. The degree is completed through original research under a faculty supervisor, with additional support available through the Faculty's Centre for Graduate Mentorship & Supervision. Program length varies with the entry route: students transferring from a master's degree partway through, or entering directly from a bachelor's degree, typically take five years, while other entrants typically take four.
