Public Health is an Honours Bachelor of Arts Major program offered at the University of Toronto St. George campus through University College. The program explores how health is shaped by the circumstances in which people are born, grow up, live, work, and age, and how these circumstances connect to wider environmental, social, cultural, economic, and political forces. The Major requires 8.0 credits, including 2.0 credits at the 400-level, drawn from foundational public health coursework and upper-year electives. Enrolment is limited: applicants must complete 1.5 credits from a specified list of foundational courses, with the required combination depending on whether the student has completed 4.0-8.5 credits or 9.0 or more credits at the time of application, and a grade average of at least 70% in the required courses is generally expected. Admission to the University requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with six Grade 12 U/M-level courses, including English.
