Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Micro-certificate is a micro-credential in Social & Cultural Studies programme offered by University of Victoria in Victoria, Canada. The programme is delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition is CAD 2,000 per total for local students.
This micro-certificate builds a knowledge base and practical skills for creating inclusive, thriving workplaces, centred on equity, diversity and inclusion principles that public and private sector organizations are increasingly prioritizing at every level. It is designed for employers and employees engaged in examining power dynamics, challenging systemic and organizational barriers, and advancing equity and inclusion in their workplaces.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Micro-certificate expects applicants to possess some level of post-secondary education and/or relevant life experience, and to demonstrate proficiency in English, encompassing both written and verbal communication, though the program page does not attach a standardized test or numeric score to that expectation. Participants need regular access to a computer with a reliable internet connection, and the page asks that learners approach the material with respect, openness and a willingness to explore new perspectives. UVic's Division of Continuing Studies sets no minimum GPA, no standardized language test score, and no formal application: students register directly for any of the three courses required for the certificate rather than being admitted through a competitive process.
Application Details
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through EducationPlannerBC, which opens for 2027-entry applications on 1 October 2026: most degree programmes see September 2027 entry close 31 January 2027, January 2027 entry close 30 September 2026, and Summer 2027 entry close 31 March 2027, though Teacher Education post-degree programmes close 2 January 2027, Indigenous Education post-degree admits on an ongoing basis, and Engineering's Summer entry (high-school graduates only) closes 31 December 2026.
