Mathematics / Concurrent Education leads to a Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor, combined with a degree in mathematics through the Faculty of Education's concurrent teacher-education route. The program is collaborative and interdisciplinary, preparing students to teach mathematics at the intermediate and senior levels, grades 7 to 12. Students complete coursework in mathematics alongside professional education courses and gain approximately 80 days of teaching experience in local schools through practicum placements. The concurrent structure allows students to work toward a subject-area degree and a teaching qualification within a single program rather than completing them separately. Admission is limited to first-year entry. Graduates are prepared to pursue certification with the Ontario College of Teachers and to teach mathematics in intermediate and senior secondary classrooms, as well as to pursue further study in mathematics or education.
