The Academic Upgrading Pre-Grade 10 Skills Improve your reading, writing, math, computer, and career exploration skills from beginner levels to Grade 9. For students aged 16 and older.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Academic Upgrading Pre-Grade 10 Skills (ABE Fundamentals) requires applicants to be able to understand and comfortably speak English, to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and to be 16 or older. The page states no IELTS, TOEFL or other standardized test score and no minimum grade point average, and it sets no prior-credential requirement beyond this. VCC describes the programme as suited to students who are able to work co-operatively in a group or independently in a self-paced classroom, and who have not completed Grade 10 or were streamed into an Evergreen certificate. A completed application requires official transcripts or other required documents where applicable, in line with VCC's general application process.
